COMTRUST History: 90+ Years of Financial Strength & Service

COMTRUST History is one of growth, innovation, and unwavering commitment to members. From its roots as an employee credit union in 1935 to becoming a trusted financial institution today, COMTRUST continues to serve with integrity and excellence.

A Legacy of Trust: COMTRUST History & Our Future

COMTRUST History is a testament to the strength of member-focused banking. Founded in 1935 as Hedges Walsh Weidner Employees Federal Credit Union, we initially served Combustion Engineering employees, helping them build financial stability.

In 1947, we rebranded as Combustion Federal Credit Union, expanding our reach while maintaining a not-for-profit, member-first approach.

By 2005, the credit union became COMTRUST Federal Credit Union, embracing modern banking solutions and welcoming a broader community of members.

Today, COMTRUST History shows how we have adapted, innovated, and remained dedicated to delivering the best financial services.
